A new hub for life sciences in Philadelphia – SuperDeck® 2.6
New Hudson Facades recently engaged the services of Preston Rentals to assist with an ambitious project in Philadelphia, PA. The 3151 Market Street Project is a new, eco-friendly building envisioned to be a gateway from University City to Brandywine’s Schuylkill Yards development. Intended as a hub for life sciences in Philadelphia, once completed the site will offer options for full floors of chemical and biological lab use, in addition to 14,900 square feet of retail space and 6.500 square feet of outdoor terraces. A SuperDeck® 2.6 was installed seamlessly in October 2023 and will remain onsite until April 2024. With a width of 8’ 6” and capacity of up to 11,000 lbs., the SuperDeck® 2.6 is the perfect choice for all New Hudson Facades’ material handling needs.
Urata & Sons Concrete learns they can count on us to always find a solution – SuperDeck® 3.2
Urata & Sons Concrete, a leading concrete subcontractor in California and Nevada, recently rented a SuperDeck® 3.2 to assist with their work on the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Project in Roseville, CA. The project will see the completion of a new four story, 100,000 square foot medical office building that will facilitate the training of future physicians to support Sutter Health’s system. Preston Rentals encountered a slight challenge during the setup of the SuperDeck® 3.2 onsite. Some creative problem solving was required as the floor of the designated level for installation wasn’t entirely even. To fix this issue, Preston Rentals staff employed dunnage, raising the SuperDeck® and creating a stable foundation to compensate for the uneven terrain. Urata & Sons Concrete was delighted with the result and grateful for Preston Rentals’ informative YouTube videos which will prove invaluable when relocating the SuperDeck®. This successful installation highlights Preston Rentals’ dedication to finding innovative solutions to the limitations or problems our customers face.
Dynamic Glass knows the Preston Rentals difference – SuperDeck® 2.6
Dynamic Glass, one of the largest glass and glazing contractors in the nation, turned to Preston Rentals once again to assist with their project at the Kimpton in San Antonio, TX. Albert Ayala, Dynamic Glass’s diligent procurement manager, expressed unwavering confidence in Preston Rentals’ services, noting that we were their sole consideration for the endeavor. Part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, once completed the 10-story, 347-room Kimpton hotel will offer a truly exceptional and luxurious hotel experience.
Aware of the challenges posed by a tight window opening, Preston Rentals staff conducted a site visit two weeks prior to ensure the SuperDeck® 2.6 would be able to seamlessly collaborate with the mobile crane onsite. Preston Rentals was able to successfully accommodate the SuperDeck® 2.6 within the project’s constraints and the SuperDeck® was installed within a short time frame. Being familiar with the SuperDeck® product, the team at Dynamic Glass quickly got to work, moving their first load onto the platform as soon as the installation was completed. We look forward to continuing to work with Dynamic Glass in the future.
