Preston Rentals’ Mini Cranes Keep Las Vegas Boulevard Moving – Maeda MC815

Preston Rentals helped Giroux Glass overcome a significant logistical challenge – installing a glass front for the Puma Store on the bustling Las Vegas Boulevard. Working on the crowded Strip required a crane that could handle heavy glass panels without taking up valuable street space or disrupting traffic. A traditional crane would have required lane closures, causing significant delays and disruptions.

To meet this challenge, Preston Rentals provided two of our Maeda MC815 mini cranes, the largest model in our mini crane fleet. The MC815 has a small footprint but an impressive lifting capacity of 17,800 lbs. (and a pick-and-carry capacity of 2,200 lbs.). This made it the perfect solution for Giroux Glass, allowing them to work efficiently in confined spaces without compromising on lifting power. One crane was positioned on the sidewalk, while the other fit seamlessly into the alleyway, eliminating the need for street closures.

This rental marks the beginning of Phase 1 of the project, expected to span two to three months. Looking ahead, Phase 2, which begins in December, will bring in our MC405 and MC285CB for more specialized indoor lifting tasks. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Giroux Glass and delivering innovative lifting solutions as the project progresses.

Preston Rentals Simplifies Steel Column Installation in Salt Lake City – Maeda MC405

Luckey Construction approached Preston Rentals for assistance with a complex steel column installation at a recreation center in Salt Lake City. They needed a solution for how to safely and efficiently install three large steel columns inside the center – a job that required precision, maneuverability, and a machine small enough to navigate the restricted space.

Preston Rentals knew that our Maeda MC405 was the ideal choice for the task. At 4’7” wide, the mini crane easily passed through the building’s double doors, while the 3-phase electrical option allowed it to operate silently and efficiently indoors.

Thanks to the MC405’s maneuverability and efficient setup, Luckey Construction was able to complete the steel column installation ahead of schedule and with fewer crew members, saving both time and labor costs. This project shows you can Count on Us to deliver optimal performance and safety in even the most challenging environments.

Preston Rentals Powers Mueller Construction’s Water Trough Replacement Project – Maeda MC285CB

When Mueller Construction needed to replace water troughs at a water treatment plant in Breckenridge, CO, they faced a challenge common to indoor projects: how to operate efficiently in tight quarters while adhering to emission restrictions. Preston Rentals provided the perfect solution with our Maeda MC285CB mini crane.

Thanks to the MC285CB’s battery-powered engine and remote-control capability, Mueller Construction was able to safely navigate the confined indoor space without emitting harmful gases. The crane’s small size allowed it to fit easily inside the facility, while its remote functionality meant the project could be completed with just two workers, maximizing efficiency and minimizing labor costs.

This precise, maneuverable crane ensured that the water trough replacement was completed quickly and smoothly, helping Mueller Construction keep the project on schedule while maintaining safety standards.

Preston Rentals is proud to have contributed to this successful operation, and we look forward to supporting Mueller Construction with more innovative lifting solutions in the future.
