Nordic PCL Selects Preston Rentals for Honolulu Luxury Hotel Project: SuperDeck® 2.6 and SuperDeck® 3.2

Returning client Nordic PCL has once again partnered with Preston Rentals, this time to support the construction of a new luxury hotel on Koa Avenue in Honolulu. Faced with the dual challenges of limited space and the absence of a laydown yard, Nordic PCL required an efficient material handling solution to seamlessly transfer materials from delivery trucks to designated building floors.

To address these unique logistical demands, Preston Rentals supplied three SuperDeck® platforms: 1 x SuperDeck® 2.6 and 2 x SuperDeck® 3.2s. These platforms offer unmatched versatility, enabling the safe and efficient loading of diverse building materials, including glass, concrete, and mechanical equipment, directly into the structure. Additionally, the decks provide vital on-site storage space, further streamlining the workflow.

Set to remain on-site for 5–6 years, our SuperDeck® platforms will play a pivotal role in optimizing material handling across all phases of construction. Preston Rentals is proud to continue supporting Nordic PCL in delivering yet another exceptional project and to contribute to the creation of this landmark luxury resort in Honolulu.

Preston Rentals Helps Scale New Heights in Downtown Phoenix: SuperDeck® 3.2

Preston Rentals recently partnered with Integrated Masonry to help overcome logistical challenges on a 26-story mixed-use project in the heart of downtown Phoenix. Designed to incorporate restaurants, apartments, and office spaces, the development demanded innovative solutions to navigate its urban setting and keep construction on schedule.

Tight site conditions and the absence of laydown zones for temporary material storage posed significant obstacles. To streamline operations and minimize disruptions, Preston Rentals supplied two SuperDeck® 3.2 platforms. These decks were ideal for accommodating the 8-foot-wide pallets integral to the project, ensuring efficient material handling without the need for ground-level storage.

The SuperDeck® platforms enabled direct delivery of materials from trucks to specific building levels, reducing crane hook time, optimizing space, and enhancing on-site productivity. Over the six-month rental period, these platforms are set to play a crucial role in maintaining project momentum and facilitating seamless material flow.

At Preston Rentals, we pride ourselves on providing innovative equipment solutions that simplify complex construction challenges. We’re honored to support Integrated Masonry on this project and look forward to collaborating on future developments that shape Phoenix’s skyline.
